About Us

Our mission is to encourage enrichment and growth through our Lord God in both youths and adults. We seek to hinder delinquent and deviant behavior in adolescents and teenagers by providing a safe environment in which they can participate in activities that encourage moral and social growth.

It is our goal to aid troubled souls by helping them develop the skills and abilities necessary to become productive citizens through a focus on spiritual, physical, emotional and educational needs while providing a highly structured environment.

Grace Point is a nonprofit organization providing programs for adults, middle and high school youth in the Hampton Roads area. The program forms partnerships with local Christian organizations, school districts and businesses.

Professional staff members assist with the day-to-day activities of the organization. Our staff also acts as advocates to assist clients in obtaining services not available through our agency.

Our organization derives its name through the belief that even with strong efforts; all is given and obtained by Grace.

Our foundation lies in coordination with societal and individual efforts combined with the belief that religious morals provide an empowerment and standard of guidance that cannot be obtained by civil norms and laws alone.

For young people to become successful, they must be in a caring, inclusive learning environment that promotes their best efforts and reinforces personal respect. We promote this success through parental involvement, personal relationships and empowerment strategies, attained through our organization.

Grace Point also provides services to support adults and seniors by offering programs that to encourage resolution of issues, increase enjoyment of life and maximize self-sufficiency. By providing inter-agency collaboration, social and religious support, Grace Point endeavors to provide the adult and senior community the support it deserves.

Grace Point empowers its participants to meet their goals for safety, stability, belonging and success by providing a continuum of individualized and group services. We envision every participant thriving in a supportive network and community and achieving their full potential for personal enrichment.

We foster development and empowerment through programs that engage youth and adults in community service activities that promote increased awareness of the needs of their communities and the development of individual growth, self-efficacy, and positive emotional and behavioral health.

 Grace Point empowers youth at-risk to meet their goals by providing services in:

• Tutoring and mentoring – during school hours and in after school and community-based programs
• Social skill building activities, including alternative recess and conflict resolution
• Facilitating homework clubs, violence prevention activities, recreational activities, and more
• Giving out community referrals
• Hosting family engagement activities
